Labor Day Getaway

Once again my mom provided the whole family with a place to stay for the holiday weekend. This trip was to New Buffalo, Michigan (about 3 hrs away). A place we have never been but now plan to go back to at least once a year. We had a 4 bedroom house about 5 blocks from Lake Michigan, it felt like we were worlds away from home because of the wooded areas, wineries, and lake views. In one word..perfect!

A perfect place:
to have our last vacation as a family of 4.
to let the kids and their cousins play outside for hours on their own.
to play games with family until the wee hours of the morning.
to visit a local craft fair and find some one of a kind gems.
to eat one of best blueberry pies I've ever had from a local "ma and pa" shop.
to sit around a bonfire and make smores.
to sit on the beach and watch the kids play in the sand for hours.
